Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you, and would like to inform you of the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers (L / T 1321) dated (1/6/1440), which referred to the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (40297 / p) dated (18/5/1440) on the role of the Authority in promoting consumer health and safety through believing in the importance of improving the nutritional value of food products in line with international practices and in light of the policies and procedures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), which called on countries to reduce salt consumption to reduce the incidence of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
Therefore, the Authority issued a circular on the Saudi Standard for "Maximum Guidelines for Salt in Food Products".
